A beautiful and creative headpiece that is going to upgrade your style!
At the workshop you will create a unique ethnic image in the style of mysterious North African and Berber tribes. We will wind the true turban, in which you can not only pose beautifully in front of the camera, but also dance easily.
TurbanLook Classic – is the foundation of the project and classic ethnic look with the basics of the stage make up, all the Nadiya’s life hacks for the theatre life and everyday make up, facial tattoos inspired by Berber people, including the big general history of the turban around the world, special material for the dancers: head wrap of the old FCBD school to the nowadays, Maria’s personal way and secrets how to build the beautiful headdress inspired of Arab, Indian and African cultures.
Maria Fomina (Kyiv, Ukraine) – certified FCBD style instructor, well known international dancer, admirer of turbans and guru of the beautiful headwraps and looks.
She will tell you about the history and varieties of this amazing headdress, explain in detail how to make it strong and concise, how to choose the material, as well as how to decorate it.
Nadiya Pankova (Erlangen, Germany) – certified makeup artist, queen of the brush, body painter, jewelry maker, actress, dancer.
She will tell you about the mysterious patterns on the faces and bodies of Berber, Moroccan and North African women. She’ll tell about the history, meaning of these patterns and which materials had been used for drawing. Nadiya also will teach how to apply correctly such patterns to the face and neck using body-art paints in order to complete the image.
This workshop is perfect for you if you are:

Please come with basic Make-Up to the workshop (foundation).
Please be prepared with the following:
- many scarfs or fabrics in different shapes, sizes and colours (they should be non-slippery, natural material is recommended)
- decoration items (such as edging, laces or brooch)
- flowers (real or fake)
- different jewellery (earrings, necklace, rings)
